Costa del Sol has the most residents along the Andalucia coast and its boundaries go from Tarifa to Almeria. Costa del Sol makes up more than 150 kilometers of the Spanish province of Malaga, and is a hot spot for vacationers. The popularity of this location is definitely indicated in the fact that of all the vacation areas in Europe, Costa del Sol boasts the largest number of jet skis per capita. Regardless of the season, travelers love the soft beaches and sedate waters of the Mediterranean sea. The temperatures remain constantly pleasant all year long, which means the beaches and various outdoor events and water activities are enjoyed constantly.
The major resorts in Costa del Sol, such as Marbella, Fuengirola Torremolinos, and Benalmadena feature miles upon miles of gorgeous soft beaches and pleasant weather conditions, which means people return to the vacation spot for more than one visit. No matter if a person is on the younger side or the older side, is a visitor or a resident, he or she will be delighted with the entertainment and activities available in Costa del Sol.

Of all the places on the coastal shoreline, Costa del Sol is the most modern. A lot of cities in the area are becoming more conventional with updated versions of their ‘paseo maritimos”, which means “boardwalks”. Costa del Sol will provide a vacationer with all the conveniences he or she would expect with a first-class location. Thanks to all of the pubs and eateries in the town, the night scene is very exciting. Some of the other attractions in the area are bullfights, amusement areas such as the famous Parque de Atracciones Tivoli, water parks, zoos, and casinos.

Because it is known for its spectacular high-end golf courses, this coastal area is often referred to as “The Costa del Golf”. Families can enjoy this area as well, since they can visit a number of local attractions like water parks, go kart tracks, well-maintained gardens, and theme parks. Visitors in their late teens and twenties enjoy spending time in the hot spots of Puerto Marina, Marabella’s Puerto Banus, and the area in Benalmadena known as the “24 hour square”. These areas are highly fashionable and, as they cater to the younger set’s desire to stay out all night, the pubs and bars usually start hopping around 12:00 a.m. and do not close until well into the early morning.

Costa del Sol has a rich past all the way back to the times of the Phoenicians. At various times, the Romans, Greeks, and Moors have all resided on the coast. Each nationality shaped the culture and architecture of Costa del Sol, much of which is still present today. Even though Costa del Sol does not get as much publicity as does the nearby city of Seville, the province of Malaga is well-known for excellent bull fights and Flamenco demonstrations, in addition to some very tasty tapas eateries.

Costa del Sol is home to some very important historical structures in which the citizens still abide by ancient customs passed down from their Moorish, Roman, and Iberian ancestors. A lot of the smaller towns located close to the shoreline have cultivated swanky resorts, but have also managed to maintain their ancient atmosphere. There are also towns located in the highlands, and they are often attractive to tourists who want to spice up their vacations with a little adventure.

Ronda is located on a mountainous plateau approximately 48 kilometers away from Marbella. It is a lovely town in Costa del Col that has a rich history. It is a well-loved location for visitors to go on a day trip to experience the past and present cultures inherent in the various eateries located there.
